About Dave
19th Subcircuit: Family and Community
As a lifelong resident, Dave has a special connection to the 19th Subcircuit. From Christ the King Parish, where he attended grade school, to Rainbow Cone, where he worked while attending Marist High School, Dave’s work ethic, values, and commitment to public service have been shaped by the community he calls home. Dave and his wife, Yvette, are the proud parents of four children: Maria, Rosie, Anna, and Leo. Dave is grateful to raise his children in the same community that raised him.
Dave has coached several of his children's teams at Christ the King School, where he headed the Athletic Board. He also ran the Beverly Athletic Club youth baseball league for several years. In Dave’s free time, he plays lead guitar and contributes vocals for local band Old Style Neon.

Decades of Experience
After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dave attended the Chicago-Kent College of Law and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 2001. From there, he spent over a decade as an Assistant State's Attorney in Cook County, representing the people of Illinois in prosecutions ranging from financial crimes to violent felony offenses. This was followed by several years in construction and real estate law, making Dave the only candidate in the race with both civil AND criminal experience.
Dave currently works as a supervisor in the City of Chicago Law Department, where he represents the City in civil rights litigation. Combined with his previous roles in private practice and at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office, Dave has over two decades of courtroom experience, more than any other candidate in the 19th subcircuit race.
